My wife and I spent Monday night in PM because we had an early flight out Tuesday morning.
Stopped by Cantina Habanero in the late afternoon planning on having a couple of drinks and a meal based on this board's recommendations, but had such a good time that we didn't leave the place until after 11pm.
Some of the best food and drinks we've had in Mexico and absolutely the friendliest people. After one night there we almost feel like regulars and will definitely go out of our way to stop there again.
Live music, dancing and other shenanigans had us entertained all night. Margaritas and Mojitos were great, staff at CH was the best.
Were lucky enough to meet regulars Frank, Don from Toronto and Don from our home state of Wisconsin (Waukesha?) Great people.
We really can't say enough good things about this place (but watch out for the "flying" towels )

We were in Puerto Morelos last week and we want to tell you about the best part of our vacation, it was Cantina Habanero's. The menu is a mix of Mexican and American, and everything we tried was excellent! We had enchiladas, tostadas, hamburgers, chicken fingers, pizza, fries and chicken wings, and they were all excellent. We drank strawberry margaritas, and sol. The margaritas were made with fresh strawberries, and were the best I have ever had. The atmosphere was perfect with the rock music and videos of live performances. The prices for food and alcohol were the best we found in town. And now for the best part...the service. Janelle, Darwin, Naty, and Ed, made us feel like we were one of the locals. The smiles, the jokes, the friendly conversation, and the overall atmosphere kept us smiling from the time we sat down to the time we left. To top it all off, the awesome live band 'Vertigo 777' on Friday night, wished my husband happy birthday by playing AC/DC, the staff bought him a cake and he was made the main part of the drum solo, by holding the spaghetti pot. It would be impossible to say enough about Cantina Habanero's, but we plan to be there with a drink in hand within 15 minutes of our next stay in this wonderful little town. You must make this experience part of your next visit to Puerto Morelos. |

Hi can you please tell me if the Meet & Greet is still going on?, as most of these posts are from last year. My wife and I will arrive in Puerto Morelos on the 16th June 2010 and will be staying at the ERC however it is our intention to visit Cantina Hab on Friday 18th June 2010. Will Frank be there? and will there be any bands playing that evening. A quick response to these questions would be very much appreciated as the wife has me run ragged with all the packing. Looking forward to just sitting with a nice ICE COLD BEER and some SHRIMP and watching the world go by, either way see you all on the 18th.
Cheers
Darryl & Valerie. |
