We are deeply indebted to them for their support and John's generosity, one hundred percent of the money raised that night goes to the charity and we raised over 30,000 pesos. I wanted to thank all those who attended the night, we are grateful for their contribution. We are also immensely grateful to all those who donated the prizes for our silent auction. Carol and Gary for the weekend at El Dorado Royale Nick Gonzalez for dinner at La Ceiba Kathy for dinner at Mayan Palace Claudia for the beautiful necklace Martha and Andreas for the car rental and Xel Ha, Diane for the carrot cake and John for dinner for 2 at his new restaurant in Cancun ( Casa Pacifica opens May 2007). Then there were all those who contributed their time to help me in the last few weeks Silvia, Bea, Kathy, Diane, Cettina, Emily, Patti, Frank, Blain and Martina. Thank You all, Cat Brown Foundaçion de Puerto Morelos has already organized the donation of fire fighting equipment and a nebuliser for the town and is currently building a new cistern and water system for the primary school in the colonia. They are working with Austin, Texas to find an ambulance for the town. It is being established with a Constituçion Sociedad Civil with the assistance of Notario 46. The platform of the Foundaçion is to assist the schools, victims of disasters and epidemics, emergency medical facilities, fire fighting facilities, families with children of special needs and people who are incapacitated. |
